During her interview, Marina discusses her work advocating for housing rights in Austin, Texas, specifically her campaign work to decriminalize houselessness in 2019, and her recent work fighting Proposition B, a ballot initiative passed in Austin on May 1st, 2021. Proposition B reinstated the camping ban that was repealed in 2019, making it a criminal offense to sit, lie down, or camp in public areas. This interview was conducted on June 23, 2021, in Garrison Hall on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin.
